I am an amateur photographer residing in the UK North West just on the boundary of the famous seaside resort of Blackpool. I have been a fairly keen snapper for over 27 years but have now found an advanced passion for photography in this new digital age. The advent of the DSLR has opened a new chapter in my life and I love being out and about with my camera gear in the hope of capturing that new ‘masterpiece’.

I am constantly trying to improve and develop new areas of my photography and am always looking to try and get a different slant on familiar subjects. I haven’t really ventured into studio work as yet but it is high on my to-do priority list..

Equipment wise, I use Canon 5D & 50D bodies, Canon 24-105 L f4, , 70-200 L f2.8 & 100-400 L f4.5-5.6 Lenses, Sigma 17-35 EX f2.8-4 & 150 EX f2.8 lenses; Canon 580EX Speedlite & a Sigma EM-140 Ring flash.for macro work

A huge regeneration program is under way in Blackpool to get the resort firmly back on the map and I’m aiming to help show some of the new town in my ‘Blackpool & Fylde’ album as the work progresses.
